I began my sermon with the following: “Have you ever wondered which would be worse—being blind or being deaf?”
Which would be worse?
It is like the question as to whether you would prefer to be able to fly or to be invisible if you had the choice of a superpower.
Of course, blindness is a strong thread in the readings for this Sunday and so I develop the sermon around this issue.
